07-24-05: She's really putting on heft, now, starting to get a body like a full-grown brichardi. And she's so much fun to photograph!

05-20-05: She's even lovelier. She's past an inch and a half, and is starting to develop the orange around her caudal peduncle.

03-14-05: The lone brichardi is growing up gorgeous. I'm pretty sure it's a female, which means less impressive finnage, but hopefully better behavior. She's a bit over an inch now and really getting lovely, a beautiful addition to the tank. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for problems but without a colony to help cause trouble, I doubt she'll pose a threat to the fairly aggressive julies or the quite defensive hecqui. She does spend a good bit of time at the top so I'm watching out for the Golden Wonders but they're so much faster (and growing so much faster) than she is, I don't foresee problems.
She makes a wonderful photo subject although she tends to hang out in the top few inches of the tank when I'm around, looking for food. This means cleaning parts of the glass I usually skip, and being inventive with angles, but I think I lucked out very well with some of the photos I've taken of her.
