5-23-05: The Sumbus actually appear to have grown! Amazing. The two largest are gorgeous, and they're really the perfect fit for the tank (which is becoming LOVELY - the moneywort flowers basically every day now). I can tell once they're full size (when, by the way, the paludarium should really be mature - we're talking two years or so, here) they'll really be adding something to the tank (at the moment, no one really notices them in there but me!) 12-19-04: The Sumbu comps are here, and they're lovely! Black and white stripes with lots of blue in their fins. Love them! Pictures soon. 12-17-04: BIG changes. Erm, there's no nice way to put this: I sold the annulatus. I like them a lot, but they're, er, boring as heck. I've revamped the tank with sand and some lava rock for Alto. compressiceps "Sumbu" but my long-term (ie after the new year) plans involve replacing the 20 with a 29 and doing it as a paludarium, complete with waterfall and air plants. Holey rock's a bit expensive (it was my original material of choice) but lava rock's cheap and I can break it up however I like. The color's fun, too. |
