I'm quite sure now that all of my ocellatus are females, so I'm looking out for a nice gold male. This is better than my brevis situation, of course (too many males) since occies are harem fish. When I find a male, he's going to be quite happy indeed.
It's been suggested to me that my occies are the Zambian type, smaller and brighter. They certainly are bright!
