30" long by 12" wide by 12" tall (75cm long by 30cm wide by 30cm tall) Fish species: Lamprologus ocellatus "gold" Plant species: V. dubyana, M. pteropus reg and Windelov Feeding: New Life Spectrum (a mix of Mini and Growth pellets), freeze-dried daphnia Filtration: Emporer Lighting: Pathetic strip lights Heat: 100 watt heater Substrate: Tahitian Moon Sand Rock: Red lava rock (because the Caudopunctatus from the 125 are moving into this tank) Shells: About a dozen escargot shells Current notes on this tank: I'm quite sure now that all of my ocellatus are females, so I'm looking out for a nice gold male. This is better than my brevis situation, of course (too many males) since occies are harem fish. When I find a male, he's going to be quite happy indeed. It's been suggested to me that my occies are the Zambian type, smaller and brighter. They certainly are bright! |
