30" long by 12" wide by 12" tall (75cm long by 30cm wide by 30cm tall) Fish species: Lamprologus stappersi (meleagris) Plant species: M. pteropus Feeding: New Life Spectrum (a mix of Mini and Growth pellets), frozen brine shrimp Filtration: Emporer, a small internal whisper for flow Lighting: 18 watt strip light Heat: Two 50 watt heaters Substrate: Fine white marine sand Rock: Red lake rocks (ie I picked them up at the edge of Lake Ontario) Shells: 14 escargot shells Current notes on this tank: I love having these fish on my desk; the problem is, it's gotten to the point where every shot I get of the male is excellent, so I've started trying for more difficult shots - the pair, the male with his mouth open, the female with her fins out, etc. I have a pair of stappersi in another 20 gallon and I'm probably going to move that female into this tank and the extra male in this tank out. |
